Borrow / Renew / Return

Update

HCCC Libraries now reopen to our students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

Starting August 12, 2020, our libraries begin offering curbside pickup of books and DVDs. You can place holds online, and pick up from the libraries.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic, materials can be renewed multiple times with no penalties.  However, if you are able please return the library loans to the libraries if you no longer need them. Thank you!

Materials available at HCCC

The main ways for Hudson County Community College patrons to borrow physical items available at the HCCC Libraries:

  • Search KOHA, the library catalog, to see if there is a physical copy available on campus and get it from the shelf.
  • Contact directly and ask for a physical item be transferred to the HCCC library of your choice, where it would be held for 4 business days. Book pick up requests are filled in 1 to 3 business days.

Who Can borrow?

HCCC College Students, Faculty, Staff and Alumni.

All borrowers must present a current Hudson County Community College ID.

Reciprocal Borrowing

HCCC participates in the VALE Reciprocal Borrowing program. Faculty and staff, who complete this form and submit it to Libraries staff at either campus, may borrow books onsite from any of the forty-seven participating libraries throughout New Jersey.
