Plagiarism - What is it and how to avoid it

UniCheck is the plagiarism detection tool that HCCC Faculty use in the Canvas platform. This application, which is available through the web, may not lead to the exact results that your professor will see. This version may be tried for free, but a personal account will need to be purchased eventually. 

 


 

Free of charge, PaperRater accepts submissions of up to 5 pages. It includes grammar and spelling check, writing suggestions tool and automated scoring, You can only submit 10 checks per month. 

 



Duplichecker lets you to copy and paste your text in the field or upload a Docx or Text file. If you sign up for free, you can submit up to 50 plagiarism checks a day. If you choose not to sign-up, submissions are limited to one check per day.


 

Grammerly gives the option of either copy& pasting or uploading content for assessment. Unregistered users are allowed one free search daily; registered users up to 50 searches. It can also be added to the Chrome browser for automatic checking in WORD.
