Group Study Room Reservations (Student)

How to book Group Study Room Reservations (Student side)

1) Go to https://hccclibrary.libcal.com/reserve/

2) Go to the drop down menu to the left and select your library. It automatically selects Gabert Library as the default library.

 

3) The next drop down menu allows you to select if you want to use a study room or computer lab.

4) The next drop down menu allows for selecting how many students can use the room. 

5) You can scroll down the page to the bottom and you will find a calendar.  You can select the choose the times of the current day, or click on Go to Date and select the day you want.

6) The times you can select are green, the times that are unavailable are in red. When you select a time, it will turn yellow. Please note you can only book a room with consecutive times and you will have to book separately for each day.

7) Once you have chosen a time, it will appear on the bottom of the screen giving the date and time of the booking. If it is correct hit Submit Times.

8) You will then be brought to a form that you will need to fill out to finish confirming your reservation. Once you are finished, click Submit my Booking.

9) If all went well, you will be given a confirmation that the reservation has been made. An email will also be sent to you. If you want to book for another day, you can also do this. 

10) Remember to check in at the second floor desk when you get there. If you do not confirm your reservation at the desk, your reservation after the first 15 minutes of when you set it for, the reservation will be canceled and someone else can book the room for the remaining time.

 

Group Study Room Reservations (Staff)

How to book Group Study Room Reservations (Staff side)

1) Go to https://library.hccc.edu/home and go to the bottom and click Library Staff Login and sign in.

2) Click on LibApps in the top left corner, then move your mouse down and click on LibCal.

3) Next click on Spaces on the top of the screen.

4) Select your location that you want to have the booking in.

5) Click on Booking Grid & Availability.

6) Make sure All Zones are selected in the Zones drop down and the Category is set to Group Study Room. Then click Go.

7) A grid will appear with all the times and rooms. The red boxes mean they are booked. The green boxes means they are available. Select the starting time and the room the student wants to have the room for, by clicking on the green box in the grid. It will automatically select two hours unless there is another appointment and it will automatically change the times to stop when the other appointment starts.

8) After you click on the starting time you will be asked to confirm the times are correct. Click Submit times if they are correct.

9) Next you will have to fill out a form with the student's information. You just need to fill out the student's name and email. Then click Add Booking.

10) You will then get a a prompt stating the time, date, and room of the booking.

Confirming Group Study Room Reservations (Staff)

How to book Confirming Group Study Room Reservations (Staff)

1) Go to https://library.hccc.edu/home and go to the bottom and click Library Staff Login and sign in.

2) Click on LibApps in the top left corner, then move your mouse down and click on LibCal.

3) Next click on Spaces on the top of the screen.

4) Select your location that you want to have the booking in.

5) Click on Booking Grid & Availability.

6) Make sure All Zones are selected in the Zones drop down and the Category is set to Group Study Room. Then click Go.

7) A grid will appear with all the times and rooms. The red boxes mean they are booked. The green boxes means they are available. Select the starting time and the room the student wants to have the room for, by clicking on the red box in the grid. 

8) After you click on the appointment, the appointment details will appear below. Click on the check in now, in blue. It will check in the student.

9) It will now changed and say the appointment is now checked in and the time it is checked in. Remember to also check them out in koha as well.

10) If the student leaves early go back to the appointment and click check out now so other students can use the room.
