LibStaffer User Guide

Log in LibStaffer.

URL: https://hccclibrary.libstaffer.com/
Username: Your HCCC email
Default Password: HCCC-LIB (default, all UPPERCASE).

Please change the default password after first-time login.

You can find the reset password link in the login page.

Or you can go to LibApps – My Account and set your new password there.

Check your shifts.

After log in LibStaffer, you will see your incoming shifts, incoming time off and the open shifts in your team.

Give up a shift

If you can no longer work an upcoming shift, you can give up that shift so other workers on your schedule can take it.

1. From LibStaffer dashboard, click the Give Up button for the shift in the My Upcoming Shifts tab.

2. Add an optional note in the Note/Email Message text box, then select the Send email alert immediately checkbox. Click the Give Up button.

 

Check your team's schedules & time off.​

Click the link then select a schedule from the dropdown list.

To view time off, click the Clock Icon. Timeoff will show up in the schedules.

View other team's schedules.​

  1. Click Schedules from the top menu, then select Multi-Schedule View from the dropdown list as below.
  2. From the dropdown list Select Schedules, check schedules you’d like to view.

Sync your schedule with Outlook calendar.

  1. Click your account name (email address) from the command bar to jump to the Manage Account page.

  2. Click the Calendar Sync tab.
  3. In the OAuth 2 Authorization box, click on the Authorize with Microsoft Account button.
  4. You will be taken to the sign-in page for your Microsoft account. Enter your Outlook username and password to log in.
  5. When prompted, click Yes to grant permissions for the LibStaffer app to read your profile and write events to your calendar.
  6. You'll be taken back to your LibStaffer Outlook/Exchange settings. In the OAuth 2 Authorization box, select which calendar to which you want to sync your shifts to with the Calendar to Sync shifts with dropdown, then select the calendar that will be used to check your available status with the Calendar to Check Free/Busy Status dropdown.
  7. Click the Save Calendars button.

Clock In and Out

1. After sign-in, click on the  Clock In/Out tab in the command bar or click the Clock In/Out button on the LibStaffer homepage.

2. In the Clock In window, a summary of your shifts will display. Click on the Clock In button.

3. Once you've been clocked in, a confirmation will display. Click the Close button to finish.

Notice:

1. You can only clock in within 6 hours before or after your shift starts. The actual clock in and out time will be recorded.

Please clock in when you arrive work and clock out before you leave.
If you forgot to clock in when you arrive, please clock in and contact your supervisor to revise the time for you.
If you clock in too early or too late, you will see a message "Sorry, you're not permitted to clock in yet/or you're clocking in too late!".
 

2. You can only clock in on campus, via HCCC network.

If you are on a device outside of the acceptable IP addresses, you will see a message that clocking in from your IP address is not allowed.
